Only you is our song

My wife and me are married for 5 years and we have 2 kids. To admit the truth, romance is no more in the focus of our marriage life. But on the occasion of our 5th anniversary I decided to break out the boredom and to e-mail our good old love song "Only You" by the Platters through the i-Tunes website. I attached a romantic greeting card with an invitation to dinner. At that time, I knew she was at work, sitting in front of the computer. She later told me she was so excited by that surprise and showed her co-workers that wonderful idea of mine. It seems to be quite a success. We earned our love back thanks to that little unexpected but valuable surprise!

By the river of Babylon...

My personal story is about a unique gift I have received on my 30^th birthday from my girlfriend, when she was on a business trip to Japan. Eventually, she had to stay longer in Japan and didn’t have the chance to join me on my birthday. She had a brilliant idea! She simply made a search on the web for a downloadable gifts. Since she knew that recently I’ve started a different job and needed desperately some knowledge of Spanish. My girlfriend surprised me in a very special way: I was overwhelmed to get a beautiful greeting e-card with personal notes which I won’t mention here of course plus an attached  link to download a copy of Babylon, which is an on line dictionary and all I have to do is just click on a word with my mouse and get the translation for that. It made my job easier and much more efficient thanks to my girlfriend.  

Thanks to my girlfriend’s Babylon I feel no longer alone!
